NPORS Site Safety Awareness
Course overview
The NPORS Site Safety Awareness course is designed for site workers to help understand the potential hazards faced when working on a construction or civil engineering site.
This course is for those who have entered, or are about to enter, the construction and civil engineering industry as a member of the workforce.
Provides a practical summary of health and safety, welfare and environmental issues identifying individual responsibilities for looking after themselves and others, what the employer’s duties are and what should be done if they think anyone’s health and safety is being put at risk.
Successful completion of this qualification will enable learners to apply for the Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) Green Card which allows access to construction sites in the UK as a non-skilled worker.

Have an understanding of health and safety law
Identify how their role fits into the control and management of the site
Understand the need for a risk assessments and method statements
Feel obliged to report unsafe acts to prevent an accident
This course is the equivalent of the CITB SSP Health and Safety Awareness course.

Course Outcome
On completion of this course, candidates will receive an NPORS certificate valid for 5 years.
